Christopher "Chris" Kenny Boskofsky Sr.

Christopher Kenny Boskofsky Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Anchorage, Alaska, on Aug. 31, 2026, at the age of 75.

Chris was born in Ouzinkie, Alaska, on May 21, 1951, to William "Waska" Boskofsky Sr. and Flora Katelnikoff. He was raised in Ouzinkie with his 13 siblings before leaving to attend Mt. Edgecumbe High School in Sitka, Alaska.

In March 1971, Chris was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War until May 1972, when he was honorably discharged. His service in the U.S. Army and during the Vietnam War was one of the greatest honors of his life.

After returning home, Chris met the love of his life, Sharon, and they married in February 1975. Together, they raised their three children, Jamie, Crystal and Christopher Jr., in Ouzinkie, where Chris supported his family as a fisherman and stevedore. Everyone who knew Chris knew that his family was his pride and joy,

especially his grandchildren and great-grandson.

Chris was truly unforgettable. He was loud, larger-than-life and had a contagious laugh that made everyone around him laugh, too. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether sharing a nice meal, joking and laughing, or simply enjoying each other's company. You could often find him sitting courtside and cheering at basketball games, taking long drives on the highway, fishing with his rod and reel, or enjoying a good game of bingo.

Chris is survived by his children, Jamie and husband Kenny Brink, Crystal and husband Luis Lemus Sr. and Christopher Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley, Hayley, Kelley, Luis Jr. and Isabel; great-grandson, Luis III; siblings, William Jr., Allen, Toni, Gary and Terrie; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon; parents, William Sr. "Waska" and Flora; and siblings, Rhea, Mike, Alice, Nick, Ione, Richard, Zack and Andy.

A funeral service was held on Sept. 8, 2026, at St. Innocent Orthodox Cathedral in Anchorage, Alaska. Chris was laid to rest at Fort Richardson National Cemetery.
