Debra Ann Dailey (Blackmore), 70, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 26, 2026. She was born on June 27, 1955, in Jamestown, N.D. At 13, she and her family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where she has resided since.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; brother, Donnie Blackmore; and parents, Riley and Ann Blackmore. She is survived by her children, Melanie Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Brendan Dailey; Ryan Meier; brother, Kevin Blackmore (Teresa); sister, Suzy Wilger (Larry); and many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from A.J. Dimond High School in 1973. Upon graduation she quickly rose in the business world, beginning as a secretary she rose up through the ranks quickly with J.B. Gottstein, eventually becoming the youngest female grocery buyer in the company's history. An impressive feat for this day and time. It was here that she met her husband, Dan Dailey, and they welcomed their son Brendan in 1990.
Following her business career, Debra transitioned into massage therapy along with other modalities - healing touch, qigong and yoga - fulfilling her true passion for helping others and embracing a life of true spirituality. In retirement, she became an avid pickleball player and continued forging deep and abiding friendships through her life. Debra also expressed her vibrant spirit through art, decorating and fashion. She loved showcasing unique pieces throughout her home and cabin that people in awe for her attention to detail. She was a bargain shopper always telling Dan "How much she saved him today." Debi was a loving wife, devoted mother, faithful sister and a genuine friend. Heaven received a new angel today and she will be greatly missed by us all.
