Betty Jean Roland, 64, passed away on March 30, 2026, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Betty was born on Sept. 9, 1961, in Springfield, Ohio. She married Dorsey Cal Roland on March 4, 1981. Over the next 16 years of marriage, until Dorsey's retirement in 1996, Betty endured multiple deployments and moved 19 times as a military spouse. Betty also worked at Moose Run Golf Course doing maintenance.

She enjoyed playing darts, and spending time with family.

Her husband wrote: "Betty was the love of my life. The world is a smaller place without her as she was loved by many."

Betty is survived by her husband, Dorsey of Eagle River, Alaska; sons, Joshua of Utah and Zach of Eagle River; one granddaughter, Miciah of Big Lake, Alaska; and two grandsons, Thane and Brock of Utah.
