Jason Witt

Jan 3, 1972 -

Nov 29, 2025

Jason Eugene Witt passed away on Nov. 29, 2025, in Anchorage, Alaska. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and coworkers.

Jason was born on Jan. 3, 1972, in Anchorage, to Brad Witt and Roxanne Bagley. The oldest of five children, Jason grew up in Anchorage, Wasilla, Alaska, and Maryland.

Jason was extremely intelligent. He loved sports and had an encyclopedic knowledge of statistics and players in basketball, baseball, football and hockey. Being from Alaska, he had his choice of teams and they were varied. He was an L.A. Lakers fan for basketball, the Yankees for baseball and the Pittsburgh Steelers were his football team.

He loved music. The louder, the better and often the neighbors would share his love of his music … whether they wanted to or not.

He loved his family and friends and would often show it in subtle, kind gestures rather than a spoken word. He had a great sense of humor laced with the right amount of sarcasm. His laughter was infectious and his smile was genuine and endearing.

Jason is preceded in death by his mother, Roxanne; and younger brother, Joshua. He is survived by his father, Brad Witt; brother, Ricky Barge; sisters, Jamie James and Jody Witt Carson; nieces, Azure and Reese James, Payton and Carly Mansur; nephews, Dylan Mansur and Aiden Witt; as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, in Anchorage at the Alaska Native Heritage Center from 2-5 p.m.
