Lillian Mae Schoonmaker

Mar 2, 1932 -

May 24, 2020

Lillian went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; two sisters, Ruth Leavitt and Barbara Brown; and brother, Herbert Ranks. She is survived by two sisters, Gwendolyn Hatch and Dorothy Jones, both of Maine. She is also survived by five children, BettyAustin, Mike Schoonmaker, Kim Hewitt, Karen Lord and Becky Saloka, all in Alaska; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

After raising her children she began taking care of the elderly in their home; this brought her great joy. She loved the Lord and would talk to people about Him. She attended the Anchorage Church of Christ. All that knew her loved her sense of humor. She was especially close to her daddy, and his nickname for her was "Hard Ticket." This name fit her well.

There will be no service per her request. She will be buried at Fort Richardson, Alaska, with her husband in a private family service.
