Anne Coghlan

Anne Chatfield Coghlan passed away on Oct. 4, 2025, after a long struggle with heart issues, at 85 years old. Anne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerald "Skip" Coghlan; daughters, Joanna (Bryan) Menning and Cassandra (John) Samz; grandchildren, Rachel (Tyson) Wolfe, Lauren, Meghan, Mark and Jake; great-grandson, Jack; and other relatives and friends.

As a young girl, Anne was in a military family living in occupied Japan at the conclusion of WWII. Anne attended boarding school in Switzerland. Anne graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in sociology and teaching. She taught HeadStart in Oxford, Calif., in the 1960s. Anne then focused on raising her daughters in Oregon, Alaska, Wisconsin and Virginia. She was a preschool teacher for many years before retirement. Anne enjoyed her horses and German shepherd dogs. She was a very smart woman who gave everything she had, especially to her family. Anne will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.

Per Anne's request, no formal funeral services are to be held.
