Peggy Baumeister

Peggy was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Jack and Marge Quilter. She attended Bowling Green State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in education. She moved to San Francisco, Calif., in 1967, where she met her husband, David Baumeister. They were married on Aug. 10, 1968, and moved to Anchorage, Alaska in June 1969. Peggy was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Chapter J of PEO.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Marge Quilter; and husband, David Baumeister. She is survived by her three children, John Baumeister (Wendy), Laura Joyce (Patrick) and Sarah Baumeister; four grandchildren, Zakara and Kavina Baumeister, and Molly and David Joyce; and sister, Pat Quilter Fittante (Phil).

There will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at 1 p.m., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity.
