Geoffrey Lee Dana

Sep 10, 1981 -

Aug 23, 2025

It is with great sorrow that we announce that lifelong Alaskan Geoffrey Dana of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 23, 2025, at his home.

Geoff was born on Sept. 10, 1981, in Anchorage to George Pollitt Jr. and Beta Wolf, following his twin brother Corey into the world by one minute. He grew up in Eagle River and Chugiak, Alaska. He attended Chugiak High School, and trained as a phlebotomist and in his adult life worked primarily as a cook. He shared his culinary talents with his family. In 2003, he welcomed his son, Geoffrey N., and was devoted to being a loving father, brother and son, and a kind and generous man.

He is survived by his son, Geoffrey N.; parents, Beta (Dan) and George (Lisa); brothers, Corey and Kevin; paternal grandparents; maternal grandmother; and his aunts, uncle, niece and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Geoff was an organ and tissue donor. He would have been honored to know that his gift restored sight to someone, and he would ask that in remembering him, those who can may offer someone else the same gift.
