May 9, 2025

Aiden Daniel Simmons, 16, died on May 9, 2025, in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by his parents, Jason and Vivien; and siblings, Audrey and Gabriel. His loss will be deeply felt by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins around the country. He lives on in the hearts and the minds of all who were touched by his loving and selfless spirit.

Aiden was a fiercely loyal friend, who loved deeply and was deeply loved by many. As a family, we are forever grateful to his amazing friends, who were so impactful in his life. We are equally grateful for his church family who were a constant source of love, support and encouragement.

He was heavily involved at Rabbit Creek Church, serving with a maturity well beyond his years. He was a constant figure on Sunday mornings, helping wherever he was needed. He was an integral part of the sound and technology team, where he showed a natural talent. His quick thinking and ability to work under pressure meant that he rarely faced a problem that he wasn't equal to. In addition, he led in the children's ministry where he was both beloved and respected by children and adults alike. He was forever patient and had a special knack for making even the most timid child feel welcomed, included and loved.

We will be honoring his memory together with a celebration of life service on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 3 p.m., at Rabbit Creek Church – Hillside Campus, 3401 Rabbit Creek Road in Anchorage. There will be an informal time of outdoor fellowship around the fire immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Aiden's memory to Rabbit Creek Church and directed to either the child sponsorship program or the mental health support fund.

To the person reading this,

Whoever you are,

Whatever your story is,

You are enough,

Remember that.
