Luke Robert LaCasse, 25, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on May 8, 2025.
Born on Dec. 3, 1999, Luke brought energy, strength, and a bold spirit into the world from the start. He attended schools in Palmer, Eagle River, and Fairbanks, graduating in 2018. A gifted wrestler, he was known for his determination and grit on the mat. Off the mat, he found freedom and joy as a fearless dirt bike rider, embracing the outdoors and the thrill of the ride with unmatched passion.
Luke was preceded in death by his uncles Carey LaCasse and Dean Kassube.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah Bergey of Cushing, Okla.; his father and stepmother, Darren and Lani LaCasse of Fairbanks, Alaska; his brothers, Cruiz LaCasse of Panama City, Fla., and Cole LaCasse of Kodiak, Alaska; and his beloved nephew, Noah LaCasse, son of Cruiz. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents: Robert and Mona Bergey of Fairbanks, Alaska; Sheila and Eric Wehmeyer of Cushing, Okla.; Larry and Ellie LaCasse of Sheldon, Wis.; and Jeannie and Ric Munhall of Sequim, Wash.; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 15 in Palmer, Alaska, on Aug. 9, 2025, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to share memories or photos in celebration of Luke's life.
