Jobe Lee Niusini of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2025, at the age of 47. Viewing and Memorial Service will be held on May 24, 2025, at Anchor Park United Methodist Church, 2300 Oak Dr. in Anchorage; 11 a.m. Viewing and 12 p.m. Memorial Service with reception to follow.

Born on Oct. 7, 1977, in Anchorage, he was the beloved son of Virginia (Smay) Niusini-Dixson and Hale Tupou Niusini.

Jobe embraced his Tongan heritage and community, which was blended with an Alaskan lifestyle that shaped his upbringing.

His early years were marked by time spent overseas in Nukualofa, Tonga, and countless trips to the Slana Alaska homestead, where he cherished hunting caribou, working on the cabin and spending time with family. Especially his Grandpa Smay.

An adventurous spirit, Jobe participated in Boy Scouts, enjoyed archery, played soccer and engaged in many backyard football games. He had a passion for fishing, often embarking on memorable fishing trips with his dad and cousins, where they created beautiful memories and shared countless fish tales. Jobe was a member of Anchor Park United Methodist Church. He graduated from West Anchorage High School and worked in various fields throughout his life, including warehouse lead, fencing, bouncer, assisted living and construction, with the majority of time in the labor and construction industry.

Known for his heart of gold and strong character, Jobe had an extraordinary ability to love unconditionally, accepting people just as they are. A brother to many, he loved deeply without expecting anything in return.

Jobe is preceded in death by his father, Hale Tupou Niusini. He is survived by his son, Siope Michael Niusini and Caiti O'Connor; mother, Virginia Niusini-Dixson, and Richard Dixson; Sister, Makeleta J. Niusini; and nephews, Jobe and Owen Berry; cousins Villiami Saulala, Halatoaongo, Salafa and Semisi; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him like family.

Jobe's legacy of love, kindness,and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anchor Park United Methodist Church, Youth and Children ministries.
