Peter McIntyre, 43, of Eagle River, Alaska, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2020.
"Pete" was born on Sept. 12, 1976, in Anchorage, Alaska, to parents Carmel "Duke" and Carolynn. He was raised in Eagle River on the land that was settled in 1958 by his late father. He attended Ravenwood Elementary School, Gruening Middle School, Chugiak High School and graduated from SAVE.
Pete was a natural salesman, beginning his career locally at AIH during high school. He went on to work for Roth Siriani and Mantech Mechanical, where he built lasting friendships. He then worked for J.A. Sexauer and continued in outside sales for Home Depot where his sales territory compromised the entire state of Alaska, a fact he was extremely proud of. His customers were never just customers … they were all truly his friends.
To know Pete was to know how fiercely loyal he was to those around him. His lived and loved to his fullest. To be his friend, you knew that he would always be there for you, no matter what. He never did anything "less than" … everything was always above and beyond. Everyone knew how much he loved his wife, Jessica, and their kids. During their years together, they were blessed as a family. His wife and children absolutely completed his life and knew his life and theirs was better because of their love for each other.
Pete is preceded in death by his father, Duke; sisters, Kathy and Debbie; brothers, Chuck and William. He leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Jessica; children, Bradyn, Cody and Aidan; mother, Carol; sister, Candy; brothers, James "Steve," Robert, James "Cory," James, Dave, Andy (Mandi) McIntyre; nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home, 25270 McIntyre Road on July 25, 2020, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a college savings account has been set up for their youngest, Aidan, at Credit Union 1, Account number 471389S1.
