Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson was born on July 29, 1955, in Morehead City, N.C.

He joined the Air Force in 1974, and was stationed in Alaska, where he fell in love with Denali and with fishing the Russian River. Mike also fell in love with Jesus after meeting him at Abbot Loop in Anchorage and having his life changed.

He also met the other great love of his life in Alaska, a young woman from New York named Eileen Flanigan, who he married at Abbot Loop. Then, duty called and they moved around the country with the Air Force. Mike and Eileen never stopped dreaming of Alaska.

So in 1992, they packed up their six kids into a tiny RV and drove the Alcan Highway to move home.

Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Eileen; sons, Christopher, Jeremy (Becky), and Jonah (Leslie) Robinson; daughters, Charity O'Reilly (Tom), Faith Farabaugh (Dave) and Abigail (Caleb); four adopted sons, Jerry, Sean, Josh and Allen; 14 grandchildren; brother, Steve; and sister, Linda and their families.

Mike poured love into everyone he met. If you would like to join us to celebrate his life, a memorial service will be held at Bridge of Hope Church in Chugiak, Alaska, on Feb. 10, 2024, at 10 a.m.
