Lawrence Augustus Williams II, age 80, passed on Dec. 11, 2023, in Anchorage, Alaska, after a long goodbye due to Alzheimer's.

Larry was born in Rhinebeck, N.Y., on Nov. 16, 1943, to Lewis and Marion Williams. After growing up in Florida, he embarked on his military career in the United States Air Force. He then focused on a second career in sales and volunteering until his retirement.

He supported many agencies that aligned with the military and veterans; He was a member of Lions Clubs International, Mt. McKinley Lions Club of Anchorage and Pompano Lions, Florida.

He was a life member of LCIF and the Lions District 49 A Foundation, he held all club offices and went to serve as District 49 A Governor in 1989-90 and Multiple District Chairman leading our delegation to the International Convention in Birmingham England.
