Robert Robertson, a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather and cherished friend, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023. Robert leaves behind a legacy of service and a passion for the outdoors that will forever be remembered.

Robert, known to many as "Robbie," dedicated much of his life to serving his country. He bravely served in the armed forces, and his unwavering commitment to duty was evident in his military career and post-retirement work with the Alaska Department of Corrections. He was a true patriot.

Beyond his professional life, Robbie had a profound love for the great outdoors. His eyes would light up when he spoke of his hunting adventures, days spent on the golf course, or peaceful moments by the river indulging in his passion for fishing. These were not just hobbies, but a reflection of his deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.

Robbie's most treasured roles in life were those of a husband, father and grandfather. He was a source of unwavering love and support; his family meant the world to him. His wisdom, kindness and warm heart touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Robert Robertson will forever be remembered as a man of honor, a devoted family man and a true friend. His memory will live on in the stories shared around campfires, on golf courses and by the fishing holes he so dearly loved.

A Military Honors Memorial Service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek, Phoenix, AZ 85024. A Celebration of Life will be held for all his Alaska family and friends in summer 2024 in Alaska.
