Iluminada Lim

Dr. Iluminada "Lumi" Lim, M.D., a longtime resident of Anchorage, Alaska, died on July 30, 2023, in the Manila, The Philippines.

Dr. Lim was a United States Public Health Services Officer at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), now Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and previously practiced in New York City. Dr. Lim came to Alaska in summer 1987, with her family to practice at the old ANMC and was instrumental in the development and eventual move from the old hospital building to the present location on the east side of Anchorage.

Aside from being an excellent physician, Dr. Lim enjoyed the company of family, friends shopping at the old Nordstrom, attending shows at the Performing Arts Center and cooking Filipino cuisine.

Dr. Lim is survived by Arturo, her husband of over 49 years; son, Joseph of Alexandria, Va.; and daughter, Teresa of New York City, N.Y.
