Edgar Mark Anagick, 63, passed away on Sept. 10, 2023, from complications from heart surgery. Edgar was born in Unalakleet, Alaska, on Feb. 19, 1960, to Betty and the late Lowell Anagick Sr., the last of 11 children born to them. He was the baby of the family and, from the very start, could put the biggest smiles on his siblings, cousins and friends with his humorous teasing nature.
Edgar was blessed when he married Colleen Ridley Anagick, and they became a family of three with her son Bruce. He was extremely proud when his son Michael was born, followed by his daughter Danielle. Bruce, Michael and Danielle were a shining light for Edgar, and he loved being a dad.
Edgar is described by his children as being the most loving, caring, humorous father. Whenever his children needed his help, he was always there for them in the blink of an eye.
Edgar grew up to be a strong man who loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was protective of his family, and often helped others who needed his help. He will always be known as someone who was not only upbeat, outgoing and happy, but also someone who could make lifelong friends with anyone because of his absolute acceptance of those around him, and his light-hearted, humorous, genuine caring nature.
Edgar was called home to be with the Lord and family members who preceded him, including his father, Lowell Sr.; brother, Lowell (Boyce) Jr.; sister, Martha Aarons; and niece, Cheryl Anagick. Edgar is survived by his children, Bruce Higa, Michael Anagick and Danielle Anagick; grandchildren, Antonio Martinez-Higa, Julius Martinez-Higa, Kico Higa, Amelia Anagick, Owen Anagick, Levi Anagick-Cassidy, Gabrielle Anagick-Jolly and Gladiolus Anagick-Jolly; beloved mother, Betty J. Anagick; sisters, Rose Anagick, Dorothy Anagick, Ella Anagick, Joan (Harry Jr.) Johnson, Gail (Edward) Schubert and Gwen Anagick Walters; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Rest in sweet peace, Edgar. In Christ, we are assured that we will see you again.
