Joel Bresser, born on June 11, 1996, in Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on July 6, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nev.

From the moment Joel was born he was a bright star. He loved people, and they gravitated toward him because he was fun, had a good heart and an easy laugh. Joel was a fighter, and whether it was wrestling, football or in physical therapy his spirit was undeniable. He was a good friend, son and brother. He was born and raised Alaskan and loved everything about it - the fishing, hiking and going on adventures. He always had a twinkle of mischief in his eyes, but genuine goodness to temper it. Joel attended Inlet View and Oceanview Elementary, Goldenview Jr. High and Service High School. He had worked for QAP in the laborer's union. I know Joel had faith and believed in Jesus. He would want us to be comforted in the fact that there is more than this life, and we will see him again in Heaven.

Joel is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lynn Bresser and Sandra MacKenzie; aunt, Megan Heffernan; and uncle, Jeremy Bresser.

Joel is survived by his brother, Justin Bresser; father, Jason Bresser; mother, Maureen Occhino.

The family of Joel wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mailer, Kat Shoffner and all the other amazing staff members of Providence Extended Care. All the exceptional employees of Providence Hospital that were there for us in our most dire moments, and Infinity Hospice of Las Vegas. We would also like to thank all those in the Anchorage Community that supported and loved us.
