John "Bill" Hodges

John "Bill" Hodges, passed away on April 21, 2020, in Wasilla, Alaska. Bill was born on April 16, 1968, in Los Angeles, Calif.

Bill was a Journeyman electrician by trade for the past 20 years, traveling around the United States working on several job sites, and made some wonderful friends along the way. Bill frequently spoke about his coworkers and the great times they had together.

Bill had a passion for restoring old vehicles and showing them off at car shows and on the mountain trails. He loved being outside and hitting the trails with his friends and family, and was always willing to help them at the drop of a hat, whether they needed him at home or on the trail.

Bill took great pride in the landscaping of his yard and decorating the property for all the holidays with his fiancee Crystal Beane and her daughter Kaylea. Bill enjoyed, and was immensely proud of, his future stepdaughter and all her accomplishments in her hockey playing and everyday life. Bill also leaves behind Molly Mae Wilmeth (Mema), whom Bill lovingly called mom, with cherished memories of him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 16, 2020 at the Little Su River. Go down Church Road to Schrock and take a left. You will see a bridge and we will be on the sandbar from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This is a place that Bill loved to go. Please join his family in the celebration and take your off-road vehicle for a ride in his honor.
