Pearlie Mae Parker

Pearlie Mae Parker of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 81. She was born on May 9, 1942, in Opelika, Ala., to Wheeler and Mary Morgan Sr. Pearlie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Willie Parker.

Pearlie will be lovingly remembered by her children, William (Eddie P.) Parker, Florise (CeCe Parker), Melinda (Punchie) Parker and Thomas (Tommy) Parker, all residing in Alaska. She was also a cherished grandmother to Donavan Parker. Pearlie is survived by her brother, Wheeler Morgan Jr. (Virginia) of Warren, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Vivian Morgan of Lordstown, Ohio. She leaves behind numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and many great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews, whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene Morgan, Dr. Gerald Morgan; sisters, Rosie Morgan, Mary Harris, Tederine Burney and Gladys Aslam; nephews, Raphel Burney and Donald Dotson; and niece, Shari Burney.

Pearlie attended First Street Elementary in Warren, Ohio, and attended Warren G. Harding High School. She furthered her education at Austin Community College.

Pearlie dedicated 18 years of her life to the Anchorage School District, working at Campbell Elementary before retiring. She was a dedicated employee and made a positive impact on the lives of many children.

Pearlie was a faithful and loyal witness of her God, Jehovah, and found great strength as one of Jehovah's Witnesses since her baptism in 1968. She found great joy in sharing the message of hope and everlasting life on paradise earth found in the Bible with those in the community.

In her free time, Pearlie enjoyed camping, cooking, baking and traveling with her husband, Willie.

A memorial service to celebrate Pearlie's life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2301 Strawberry Road in Anchorage, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Pearlie Mae Parker will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
