George Paulsen Jr., 82, passed away peacefully in his Anchorage, Alaska, home surrounded by family, on June 6, 2023, just shy of his 83rd birthday.

He was born in Cordova, Alaska, on June 15, 1940. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing.

George is survived by his brother, Fredrick Paulsen; sisters, Daria Gardner and Virginia Behymer; sons, Donald Kompkoff, Kalvin Kompkoff and Angelo Paulsen; daughters, Thalia Casto, Tamarra Carrier and Tundra Paulsen; and his many grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, George and Lucy Paulsen; wife, Idetta Paulsen; brothers, Warren Paulsen and James Paulsen; and sister, Mary Lou Hatlen.
