Colby Lord

Jun 11, 1999 -

Apr 15, 2023

Colby Thomas Lord was born on June 11, 1999, to Tom and Kristine Lord. After Colby graduated from Colony High School in 2018, he went on to earn a mechanical engineering degree at Boise State University in 2022. Following his graduation, he worked on the North Slope as a mechanical engineer, where he passed away unexpectedly.

Colby was heavily involved in his family business, TK Enterprise, from an early age. He helped his dad in every aspect of the business, from drilling remote water wells to freighting materials and building remote cabins to name a few. Colby's passion in life aside from spending time with his family was living a life of adventure in the Alaska wilderness. He loved to hunt, fish and trap whenever possible. He once said, "I feel most at peace when I am riding my snowmachine - all my worries fade away."

Colby is survived by his father and mother, Thomas and Kristine Lord; his sister, who was also his best friend, Ann Lord; maternal grandparents, Terry and Phyllis Muck; as well as an uncle, Brian Muck. He is also survived by his fraternal grandmother, Nancy Lord; two aunts, Terri Knaak and Kathy Boman; as well as two cousins, Carissa Paulson and Emily Boman.

Colby joined his grandfather, Ronald Lord, in Heaven on April 15, 2023. We can only imagine what kind of excitement those two will make as they find a way to ride the clouds with the snowmachines that surely be in Heaven.

Colby's Funeral Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on April 22, 2023, at 11 a.m., and his reception will follow directly afterwards in the reception hall.
