Reginald Henson passed away on March 16, 2023, in Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Helen Henson; as well as siblings, Ronald Eugene, Tommy Jr., Carl, Rosslyn and Gwendolyn.

He is survived by two siblings, Carolyn, and Victor; two children, Reginald and Sara; three nieces; four nephews; nine grandnephews; two grandnieces; and countless friends.

Regg moved to Alaska in 1977, after high school, and lived in Anchorage for his adult life, eventually retiring from University of Alaska Anchorage. He loved Alaska life and enjoyed fishing, camping, exploring and especially sharing pictures of the snow and ice sculptures with his family in Texas.

Regg never met a stranger he couldn't have a conversation with. He was kind, understanding and very outgoing. He was involved in his community and impacted countless peoples lives during his time here. Reginald will be sorely missed by many people from Alaska to Texas and everywhere in between. Those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him take comfort in the fact that the world is a better place because he lived here.
