Savitri Ramlal Chizmar, 66, passed away in her home in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 9, 2023.

A service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Anchorage on March 23, 2023, at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Michael Warren. Her final resting place will be at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.

Savitri was born in Gopie Trace, Penal, Trinidad and Tobago, on Sept. 17, 1956. She moved to Anchorage in 1980.

She completed college and loved being a homemaker for her family. Savi was always the life of the party, had a great sense of humor and was always a fighter. She will be missed by family and friends alike.

Savi is survived by daughter, Cindy Carrier (Julian); daughter, Desiree Ackerman; son, Ryan Holta (Melissa); and grandchildren, Lj and Adeline Holta.
