Breann Pearl Lang

Dec 23, 1989 -

Feb 12, 2023

Breann Pearl Lang entered the world on Dec. 23, 1989, born to Brian Earl Lang and Marlene (Kilgore) Lang. Her name, a clever and feminine spin on her father's, was just the beginning of the creativity Breann would embody and exhibit throughout her life. Born at Central Peninsula Hospital, Breann was brought home in a Christmas stocking, where two of her three older siblings eagerly awaited her arrival.

Breann was creative and intelligent, sometimes in the most seemingly random of ways. When Bre developed an interest, she didn't stop researching and learning about it until she knew the subject inside and out. Bre was a loving and devoted mother who truly cherished every minute with her children. Breann was a fiercely loyal friend, always encouraging and supporting those who came to her for advice.

Breann was not without struggle and fell victim to addiction in her mid-20s, losing her sparkle and joy to it. Bre fought with every fiber of her being to climb out of addiction and slowly but surely, her sparkle returned. Breann never allowed her past mistakes to define who she truly was. She had been victorious in building a new life and finding purpose for herself and finding joy in her children, family, friends and loved ones. Breann wanted nothing more in life than to love and be loved.

Breann left this life abruptly and unexpectedly in the early hours of Feb. 12, 2023, in Kenai, Alaska.

Breann is survived by her parents, Brian and Marlene Lang of Sterling, Alaska; brother, Trevor Kennedy; sister, Cassandra (Jonathan) Holvoet, both of Kenai; sister, Sarah Williamson of Gresham, Ore.; four young children, Darion and Karl Nusunginya, Brenann (Spinka) Lang and Orion Jennings; and chosen sister, Samantha Van Vleet. Breann leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and cherished friends to mourn her loss.

A private memorial will be held on March 18, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to a nonprofit that supports addiction recovery or victims of domestic violence.
