Albert P. Rodrigues, 88, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Feb. 16, 2023, surrounded by family.

Albert, fondly known as "Al," was born to Peter and Mary Rodrigues on June 12, 1934, in Puunene, Maui, Hawaii. Al served his country as a United States Marine for 10 years, including service in Korea during the Korean War. Al left the Marine Corps to begin a long career in construction. He specialized in framing and sheet rocking, working his way from California to Alaska in 1962. After retiring from construction, Al sold vehicles for all the major car dealerships in Anchorage, most notably Anchorage Chrysler-Dodge. His friendly, relaxed personality and honesty again lead him to success becoming a top salesman.

Al is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ethel; brothers, Leonard, James and William; stepson, Michael Casicas; and stepson-in-law, Bobby Estrella Sr.

Al is survived by sister, Veronica; brother, Ralph; his wife of 42 years, Betty (Miguel); stepdaughter, Beverly Estrella; grandchildren, Bobby (Kirsten) Estrella Jr., Chelby (Tyler Leal-Medoza) Estrella, Jimmy (Jackie) Estrella; stepdaughter, Laurie (Bill) Amidon; Ian (Nicole) Amidon, Caitlin (Daelin Livingston) Amidon, Alex (Spencer) Jenkins, Michael Akiona, Audrey Casicas; and great-grandchildren, Tysyn, Dyllen, Brynn, Joseph, Tycha, Atlas, Lopaka, Sonny and Leighton.

Al's greatest joys were spending time with his wife Betty and his family. A warm gentle soul missed by those who loved him and knew him best. Aloha Al.
