Robert Peterson, 90, formerly of Coolspring, Pa., and Orlando, Fla., died peacefully on Sept. 11, 2022, at his home in Columbus, Ohio.

Born on Feb. 21, 1931, in Brookville, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Ella Peterson. Robert was the youngest of five siblings. Three of those preceded him in death, and include Leo Peterson, Helen Cooper and Jim Peterson.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Peterson; daughter, Mrs. Roberta Winch; three grandchildren, Peterson, Roan and Meriel Winch; sister, Jean Weidner; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert had a long career in mining engineering, a field in which he would passionately share with anyone who would lend an ear! He also had a love for flying, owning several airplanes throughout his lifetime. His first airplane was a PT17 Boeing Stearman, purchased at the age of 20.
