Longtime Palmer, Alaska, resident Aggie Kline, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 7, 2022. A service will be held for her at Manna Baptist Church on Sept. 17, 2022, at 11 a.m.
Aggie was born on May 27, 1944, in Bismarck, N.D., to George and Julia Schmidt. She was married to Charles Kline on Oct. 31, 1963, and lived in North Dakota until moving to Alaska in 1973. Charlie and Aggie lived in Orlando, Fla., from 1995-2006, before moving back to Alaska in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Julia Schmidt. She is survived by her husband, Charles Kline of Palmer; and four children, Brad Kline of Orlando, Jeff Kline of Palmer, Randy Kline of Palmer, and Debbie (Sid) Richards of Palmer. She has seven grandchildren: Krista, Daniel and Victoria Kline of Orlando, Alexandra, Olivia and Isabella Kline of Wasilla, Alaska, and Hannah Lindfors (Derrek) and Sidney Roth (Justin) of Palmer. She also had two great-grandchildren: Lincoln and Levi Lindfors.
Aggie was the oldest of 10 children. She was survived by Bernice (Luverne) Albright of Bismarck, Bob (Karen) Schmidt of Bismarck, Barb (Bill) Leingang of Kalispell, Mont., Bill (Pat) Schmidt of Fort Madison, Iowa, Andy Schmidt of Bismarck, Lillian Bender of Houston, Texas, Ed (Shari) Schmidt of North Liberty, Iowa, Gene (Patti) Schmidt of Bismarck, and Georgia (Steve) Ricke of Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her family and friends, she loved sewing. Quilts were definitely her favorite. She also loved teaching Vacation Bible School every summer at her church and doing craft classes with the ladies at church. She will be missed by many who knew her, especially her church friends.
