Federico (Tatang Pedring) Paras Santos was born in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines, on Nov. 20, 1939. He passed away peacefully at home in Anchorage, Alaska, surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 7, 2022.

Federico is survived by is wife of 60 years, Lourdes Deleon Santos; four sons and their wives, Marlon (Lynne), Mable, Marcos (Rachelle) and Jon (Dina); daughter and husband, Marilou Bautista (Norman); daughter, Nicole; and grandchildren, Khristoffer, Mark Joefed, Mathew, Michael Giro, Alisa Clarice, Andrew John, Anicka and Ashley.

Federico grew up in a farming family during the Second World War. He moved to Manila, Philippines, at the age of 19, and started his career as a toy salesman and later as a chemical salesman. He retired at the age of 65. He then came to the United Sates with his wife to spend their retirement with his children and grandchildren. He was known as the godfather of the family and helped many members of his extended family and friends in the Philippines and the United States. He was a good friend to everyone he knew. Federico loved group conversations on politics, giving advice, he enjoyed dressing well, loved to dance and enjoyed watching boxing. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Family Funeral Services will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, from 8:30-11 a.m. Condolences can be sent to the family on Facebook, Messenger or email to lsantos4565@yahoo.com.
