Jul 25, 2022
Curtis Edward Dahl went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2022. He passed peacefully in his sleep with loved ones by his side in Anchorage, Alaska. Curt was born in International Falls, Minn. He spent his childhood and school years there until he joined the army in 1958, where he served in Germany for two years. Shortly after he left the military he moved to Alaska, where he fell in love with, and married, Bonnie Lee (Baker) Dahl on Aug. 23, 1964. Eagle River is where Curt built their first family home, made a living doing carpentry and where he raised his family.
In 1978, Curt moved his family to Kona, Hawaii. He loved it there and spent many days doing things he loved like fishing, swimming, bodysurfing at the beach with his kids and golfing. Curt moved between Alaska and Hawaii over the years until finally moving back to Alaska, where he resided until his death. Everyone that knew Curt admired, respected and loved him. Curt was a loving son, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and just all-around kind and good man! He will be missed dearly! Aloha Oe … until we meet again!
Curt was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lee (Baker) Dahl; father, Edwin Frederick Dahl; mother, Alice True (Larson) Dahl; brother, Claude Dahl; and sisters, Travis Ann Baker and Margaret Sartain.
Curt is survived by sons, Curtis (Kelly) Dahl Jr. of Hawaii, Eric (Daniella) Dahl of Hawaii; daughters Veronica (Clyde) Keanaaina of Alaska, Wendy (Kevin) Mcindoo of California, Barbara (Jon) Cupper of Qatar; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Trudy Bouslaugh of Wasilla, Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
