Andre Joseph Robichaud was born on Sept. 14, 1947, in Meteghan, Nova Scotia. He died on July 10, 2022, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Andy spent a few years working in Saint John, New Brunswick, before relocating to Calgary, Alberta, where he became a professional photographer for the rest of his working career.

Upon retirement, he relocated to Anchorage, where he continued photography simply for his own pleasure. Andy married Thomas Rachal Jr. in 2014, and became an American citizen in 2018. He treasured his dual Canadian and American citizenship.
