Melody Carle

Aug 6, 1957 -

Dec 14, 2021

Melody Ann Carle of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away peacefully in her home in Arizona on Dec. 14, 2021, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Dee Dee was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Aug. 6, 1957, to Rollo Thomas Wright and Viola Katherine Marler. In 1968, their family moved to Phoenix, Ariz., and Dee Dee graduated from South Mountain High School in 1975.

In 1977, Dee Dee tagged along with a friend for "the adventure of a lifetime" - a road trip from Arizona to Alaska. It was in Fairbanks, Alaska, that she met David Carle. What started out as a sweet summer romance ultimately turned into a lifelong partnership, with David and Dee Dee marrying in 1985 and having two wonderful sons, Brandon and Garon. In 1985, the family moved to Anchorage and Dee Dee thought this was good as it was a southerly move!

Dee Dee was preceded in death by her father, Rollo "Buddy" Wright; mother, Viola "Kathy" Murphy; and sister, Beverly Biondi.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Henry David Carle; sons, Brandon (Meshel) Carle and Garon (Caprice) Carle; seven dearest grandchildren, Henry, Oliver, Olivia, Caroline, Claire, Harper Ann and Benjamin; sister, Madge (Klint) Casey; brothers, Randy (Jackie) Wright and Cliff (Jennifer) Wright; nephew, Jacob Wright; nieces, Gianna Wright and Angel Biondi-Brookins (Chad); and half-sister, Kathleen Powell.

We will love and miss her always. Until we meet again! "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" - Matthew 5:4.
