Billy Sikes of Chugiak, Alaska, was born to Willie L. Sikes Sr. and Mary Jane Sikes in Oskaloosa County, Fla. As a child the military brought his family to Alaska, where he attended schools in Anchorage, graduating in 1984. In 1987, he married his best friend, Abbe, and they lived and enjoyed life to the fullest daily. Together they loved, helped and hosted many foster children before his biggest, best and very proudest moment came in September 1992, when his daughter Courtney Allison was born! He was a loving, kind, involved dad, but an even more amazingly wonderful Papa to Emma, Dawson and Nova.

In 1995, he attended RSI in Arizona, graduating "Top Gun" top of his class beginning his career with SOA as an HVAC/R tech. Billy was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends - shout out to the Kasilof Fish Camp Crew, He loved you all! He was a cheerful, giving, caring man who always brought a smile with him. One of his favorite sayings was "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet, so let's go make some new friends today!" He was the proud, fun uncle to the Keller kiddos - Dakota, Carole, Jesse, Rosie, Uncle Billy always loved you and treasured every moment he spent with you!

He is survived by daughter, Courtney; grandbabies, Emma Rose, Dawson Lee and Nova Paxon; Abbe VanOrnum-Sikes; brother and sister-in-law, Hobbit and Mary Keller and family; brother-in-law, Chuck VanOrnum; sister, Sandra Regina Swank and Ronn; sister, Sonja Metcalf and Jim Metcalf and family; Chander Notheis Swanner; Terri Bagron; and Charlie Sumrall.
