Buford Calvin Delaughter Jr.

Our family sadly lost a major patriarch in our family on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, when Buford Calvin Delaughter Jr., primarily known as Calvin, passed away in a car wreck due to a medical event. He contributed much of his time to teaching others how to fix things, especially cars. You would often hear Calvin say he loved anything with wheels and a motor which is why he devoted his life to the auto hauling industry.

Calvin is survived by his parents, Calvin and Shirley Delaughter of Chugiak, Alaska; loving wife of 37 years, Katherine Hess Delaughter; their three daughters, Christine Patton, Camille Delaughter and Caitlyn Delaughter; and grandchildren, Charli Rose and Corbin James Patton. Calvin is also survived by one sister, Bridgette Schott, as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crista Ann Delaughter; brother, Boyd Carter Delaughter; and sister, Batya Chandra Delaughter.

His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with, as well as those he taught because they were significant life teachings.

Let us gather for his burial on July 11, 2022, at Angelus Memorial Park, 2232 S. Elk Rack Circle, Palmer, AK 99645, from 1-2 p.m. Then, join us in the evening for a celebration of life in his honor at the Bayshore Clubhouse, 3131 Amber Bay Loop, Anchorage, AK 99515, from 5-11 p.m. We love you Calvin.
