Johnny D. Wright was born on July 10, 1947, in Austin, Texas, to Gertie Mae and John D. of Austin. Johnny Wright was a longtime Alaskan. He met and married his only wife Edna Lee Patterson on June 30, 2001, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Johnny was the second child of four children. His adopted parents were Francis and Roman of Anchorage. He served as a custodian engineer for ABM janitorial service. Johnny credits Rev. Vicki Casey as the influence which led him to become a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in 2000. His hobbies were music and dominos.

John leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife, Edna Lee Wright; sister, Francisca Wright; brother-in-law, Billy Wright; brother, Raymond R. Paduyos of Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.

Gone but not forgotten, your loving wife.

Services will be at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 855 20th Avenue in Anchorage, on April 20, 2022. Viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., with service beginning at 12 p.m. Burial will be in spring 2022.
