Eileen Mary Kiefer Jones, age 88, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Feb. 7, 2022. She was born on Dec. 17, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pa. Eileen is predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Jones; parents, George and Theresa Kiefer; brothers, George, Richard, Bobby; sisters, Kay, Dorothy, Ruth; and grandson, Brian Jones.

Eileen is survived by her sons, Kenneth, Keith and Kevin Jones; daughter, Kimberly Jones; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Eileen came from a Catholic upbringing and found peace attending church. She grew up in Pittsburgh, where she met Bill in high school. They married on Dec. 27, 1952, in Pittsburgh. Bill joined the Air Force, which took them to many places over the years: Scott AFB, Ill.; Sembach AB, Germany; Minot, N.D.; Wadena AFS, Minn.; Kincheloe and K.I. Sawyer AFB, Mich.; Ramey AB, Puerto Rico, retiring in Hampton, Va., then settling in Anchorage in 1982. Her fondest memories were of dancing with Bill, living in Puerto Rico and hanging out with her sisters. She loved to get out of the house whether just to watch the beluga whales, enjoy Alyeska, go to a local restaurant or travel around the United States. She was a strong, avid bowler, enjoyed going to bingo, china painting, loved music and riding a good roller coaster. Most of all, family was important to her.

We will miss your love for life.

Eileen will be interred at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville Pa.

Service will be on April 18, 2022, at 1:30 p.m., at the Cemetery.
