James "Jim" Edward Kramer

James "Jim" Kramer, 56, passed away the morning of Jan. 6, 2022, at his home in Anchorage, Alaska, with his family by his side. He was born on Sept. 29, 1965, in Cordova, Alaska, the son of Dean and Patsy Kramer. Jim was the most awesome loving father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a simple man that loved to laugh and live life to the fullest. Anyone who knew him would say he was one-of-a-kind.

Jim graduated from Cordova High school and then continued living as a commercial fisherman in Cordova. He married and then moved to Wasilla, Alaska, where he was the owner-operator of his trucking company, and fathered two amazing children.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepdad, David Glasen; grandfather, Paul Vlasoff; grandmother, Jessie Tiedeman; brothers, Daryl Kramer and David Glasen; nephews, Kevin Blake and Kenneth Kramer.

Surviving in addition to his children, Joshua Kramer and Whitney (Kramer) Rauch; brother, Dean Kramer; and sister, Sue Clum (Daniel). He was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren: Natalie, Tayla and Farah Rauch; seven nieces and nephews: Dean Kramer, Casey Kramer, Kyle Kramer, David Clum, Kori Blake, Joanne and Sydney Johnson; and a great-niece and great-nephew, Alexis Geary and Jonah Blake.

A service of remembrance was held at Anchorage Baptist Temple on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022. A viewing will begin at 12 p.m., with a service following and a Celebration of Life in the VIP room.
