Warren "Judge" A. Tucker passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2022, at the Prestige Rehabilitation Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
Warren was born in Muskegon, Mich. on Oct. 28, 1929, to Robert and Mary Tucker. In 1951, Warren became a veteran after serving in the United States Army. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University and Fordam University School of Law.
He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, American Radio Relay League, the National Rifle Association of America, the New York State Bar Association, the Alaska Bar Association and the World Tae Kwon Do Association. His special interests included football, fishing, hunting, flying, scuba diving and karate. He was inducted into the Neshaminy High School Hall of Fame as a linebacker in 1992.
He moved to Alaska in 1963, and was appointed to be a judge in the District Court in 1969. He served as a member of the Commission on Judicial Qualifications and retired from the bench on May 1, 1984.
He is survived by his son Matthew Tucker. An Alaska Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at the Holy Family Cathedral, 811 West Sixth Avenue in Anchorage. Final burial date will be determined in Nesquehoning.
