Warren Allen "Pollock" Witkofsky

Warren "Pollock" Witkofsky, 86, died peacefully on Dec. 9, 2021, at home in Pahrump, Nev. He was born on July 16, 1935, in Deer River, Minn., the son of Julius L. and Hazel V. Witkofsky.
Warren began his distinguished career as a grunt in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He then served with the U.S. Air Force, earning an honorable discharge, after which he returned to Minnesota and became an IBEW apprentice. As a Journeyman Lineman, he worked all over the continental United States before moving to Alaska in 1964. In Alaska, he worked to rebuild the state's infrastructure after the great '64 earthquake, going on to become a fixture in the IBEW. He was very proud to be an IBEW member, dedicated to training the next generation of Power Linemen. He was also a 23-year cancer survivor.
He met his wife, June, in 1980. They celebrated 38 years of marriage in July. After retiring, they traveled around the western United States looking for a place to settle. They decided on Pahrump, where they built a beautiful home with flowers, fruit and nut trees and lots of room for their pets. Warren took pride in designing and landscaping their 5-acre compound.
In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his older sister. Surviving in addition to his wife, June (Haylor) Witkofsky; are his stepdaughter, Staci Lin Seagle and her husband Ken of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as grandchildren, Davren and Makena Seagle of Anchorage.
