Fontaine Dimitrius Tauoa

Fontaine Dimitrius Tauoa, 32, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Nov. 16, 2021, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 24, 1989, at the Lyndon B. Johnson Medical Center, American Samoa, to Rosanna Tauoa and Paulo Jaeger.

He grew up in the village of Amaua, where his faith was shaped as a member of the Amaua Congregational Christian Church. He attended Alofau Elementary School, Fagaitua High School and American Samoa Community College. Fontaine and Luseanne were married in Anchorage, where their two children were born. He was a senior patrol officer with Guardian Security for nine years till he passed away.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Luseanne Penoga of Aua; son, Dimitrius Giovanni Tauoa; daughter, Catalaya Giovanna Tauoa; parents, Rosanne and Setu Malepeai; brothers, Germaine Tauoa, Gerraue Tauoa and Paul Jaeger Jr.; sisters, Generra Jaeger, Helena Charlene and Diedra Malepeai; grandmothers, Alofi Sekeli Tauoa and Sosefina Hardy; nephews, Dion Tauoa, Tristen Tauoa and Mason Tauoa; nieces, Diraulina Tauoa, Delphinium Tauoa and Razlyn Tauoa; aunts, Lucy Tauoa, Tiana Tui, Regina Faamasino and Elsie Mauigoa; uncles, Papalii Jaeger, Tui faatiliga and Lance Tauoa; and numerous cousins.

Preceding him in death was his father, Paulo Jaeger; grandfather, Sekeli Tauoa; great-grandparents Tuina and Fatueli Tauoa, and Laauli and Siligi Lefotu; great-grandmother, Epe Tialavea; and great-grandfather, Charles Morse.

Memorial Service was held on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage, at 11 a.m.
