Daniel Charles Jenks

Dan died on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, due to complications of diabetes.

Dan was born in Alaska to Richard and Helen Jenks. He graduated from West Anchorage High in 1981. He was a lifelong Spenardian and bartender. The notable achievements and accomplishments in his life were Spenard Artist Newcomer of the Year 1982, and Spenard Artist of the Year in 1984, 1987 and 1990.

Dan teamed with Steve Fibranz to win the under 20 Alaska Freestyle Frisbee Championship in 1982.

Dan was also a member of a vigilant group that monitored and prevented late night shenanigans and pranks in Spenard and surrounding areas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Ted Jenks; and older sister, Pam Jenks Byers. He is survived by brothers, David Jenks and Michael Jenks; and sister, Cindy Jenks Haire.
