We will miss Kay's physical presence, her feisty personality, and her ever-lasting optimism, but we know that she lives on in another form. The pressing question that most people have, and that Kay had, is: If I die, shall I live again? Kay devoted 44 years of her life as para-psychological researcher in the Aquarian Foundation, a Spiritualist Church founded in 1955 in Seattle, Wash., therefore, Kay had no fear of death. In her search for truth, Kay found irrefutable evidence that the human personality does indeed survive bodily death. Kay had many interests and pursued a variety of causes, but she stated that her greatest pleasure and love was to anchor God's love, light and plan on earth through the Aquarian Foundation. During the course of her life, Kay affected many thousands of people's lives for the better. Kay made Alaska her home in 1975, when she moved to Fairbanks, Alaska to work as a kitchen helper on the pipeline. By May of 1982, Kay prevailed in a lawsuit she had filed against her Labor Union regarding her civil rights, the outcome of which, has positively impacted all other labor union member's civil rights. Ever resourceful, Kay worked her way up in leadership positions in labor management, and as a consultant, for various interests including in the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. Kay was also very involved in championing causes regarding a variety of Constitutional rights, civil rights, freedom of expression, and body autonomy in Alaska, and in the lower 48. In 2006, Kay even ran for Lieutenant Governor in Alaska, and then in 2012, Anchorage's Democratic House District 13 appointed Kay to run in the Muldoon Neighborhood primaries. Kay, your indomitable spirit will not be forgotten! Au revoir, Kay – until we meet again. Kay's memorial service will be held at the Anchorage Branch of Aquarian Foundation at 520 W 41st Avenue, Suite 102, Anchorage, AK 99517. Please call Rev. Rusch at 907-276-1557 for the date and time.
