Lana DeRossett

Lana Jean DeRossett, age 72, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 28, 2021.

Lana was born June 1, 1949, to Paul and Clover (Crocket) DeRossett in Anchorage.

She was a spiritual Christian, loved reading and her work with the Civil Air Patrol. She had worked as a fireman, an EMT, taxi driver and with the FAA. She enjoyed nail technology and owned and operated Lana's Perfect T.E.N for 40 years.

Her many interests included her family, solutions, penmanship, wit and humor.

Her family remembers: "Lana lived to love and to be loved. She understood her humanity and spirituality to be bigger than life and was a force to be reckoned with. She loved beauty and loved her trinkets. She was a huge support to her family and to others. She admired mental advancement and her dogs. Right or wrong, she stood by her convictions, no matter what."

Lana is survived by her daughter, Tammy Dupree of Anchorage; sons, Bucky and Rambo DeRossett, both of Anchorage; grandchildren, Shanda Chernikoff, Jason Chernikoff Sr. and Dale Seiser, all of Anchorage; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Seiser, Aries Seiser, Sienna Tomas and Jason Chernikoff Jr.; brother, Dean DeRossett of Homer, Alaska; sisters, Paula Vaughn of Anchorage and Batty Caulkins of Wasilla, Alaska; and sister-in-law, Tana DeRossett of Billings, Mont.

A Celebration of Lana's Life will be held on June 1, 2022, at the Salty Dog Saloon in Homer following scattering at the Homer Dock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Lana's name to 4300 Arctic Blvd. #25, Anchorage, AK 99503.
