Beverly Tanner, 64, of Talkeetna, Alaska, passed away on Aug. 30, 2021, with her husband by her side. She was born to parents Robert and Patricia Mellin on Nov. 24, 1956, in Anchorage, Alaska.

She was married to Don Tanner (Yukon) on Feb. 14, 1998. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Jennifer and grandchildren, Noah and Emma Duescher of Manitowoc, Wis.; stepson, Jesse and his wife Jennifer and grandchildren Taylee and Cruz Tanner of Wasilla, Alaska; son, Chris and grandchildren Alex, Xavier, Hunter, Monae, Layla and Kyra Anderson of Wasilla; stepdaughter, Kristi and husband David Mock of Wasilla; stepson, Zach Tanner of Florence, Ariz.; and stepdaughter, Teagen Tanner of Wasilla.

Beverly was predeceased by her stepson, Aaron Tanner; and daughter-in-law, Brandy Starrett. She was also predeceased by her brother, Charlie Mellin; and sister, Barbara McNeil. She leaves behind her brother, Bob Mellin of Anchorage.

Close friends include Joyce Varner, Marilyn Wick and Vicki Westphal.

Beverly was a lifelong Alaskan. She enjoyed going to the cabin with her family and friends. She loved to cook for a larger gathering. There were always leftovers. Her motto was "Go Big or Go Home."

She spent a lot of time with her grandchildren making memories. Baking pies and cut-out cookies during the holidays was just one of them.

There wasn't much Beverly wouldn't try. She and her husband owned a coffee shop and store in Talkeetna where she ran it for a period of time. She enjoyed getting to know the locals and telling the tourists all about Alaska.

As Beverly's health declined, she would often tell her close ones how proud she was of them and how much she loved them. She knew her time was coming to an end, but she also knew she was going to be in heaven where there would be no more pain or suffering.

Beverly had a Celebration of Life prior to her passing, where family and friends were able to reminisce.
