Arthur Theodore

Apr 20, 1948 -

Aug 7, 2021

On Aug. 7, 2021, Arthur Theodore passed while admitted at Alaska Native Medical Center; he lived in Wasilla, Alaska. He was 73 years old.

A Viewing Service will be held at Legacy Wasilla Heritage Chapel, 1015 Check Street in Wasilla, at 1 p.m. The Burial will take place at the "Knik Cemetery" after the service, Mile 13.5 on Knik Goose Bay Road.

Arthur was born in Knik, Alaska, to Alice and Bailey Theodore Sr. in 1948. Since then, Arthur had been busy creating a life story like no other. A couple of Arthur's favorite pastimes are playing bingo and going for road trips when able. Arthur was proud of his Alaska Native heritage. He was of the Fish Tail Clan (Kal-a-hee) of the Denaina People of the upper Cook Inlet. One of his greatest accomplishments was to help establish Knikatnu Inc., a Native Corporation in Wasilla still in existence today, for which he was proud of. I'm sure he knew that his grandkids would love hearing of these adventures when he finally slows down. Arthur was a loved son, brother, father, grandpa, husband, friend and a soldier. He will be greatly missed and remembered by anyone that knew him.

He is survived by his three children, Shawna Schmidt, Nick and Alfred Theodore; seven grandchildren, Elijah, Mary-Jane, Ruby, Nevaeh, Emerald, Alexandrite and Nick Jr.; three sisters, Rosie Choquette, Patsy Garcia and Marty Stephan; four brothers, Paul, Raymond, Randy and Larry Theodore; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle; parents, Bailey Sr. and Alice Theodore; sisters, Elsie Theodore Tellman and Diana May Theodore; and brothers, Everett, Bailey Jr., Sam, Ronnie, David, Oscar and Freddy Theodore.

Flower arrangements can be sent to Legacy Wasilla Heritage Chapel, or brought to Knik Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, there will not be a Potluck.
