Longtime Anchorage, Alaska, resident Ralph Jesse Carver Jr., 69, died on Aug. 1, 2021, at Alaska Regional ICU due to COVID-19.
Service will be on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021; viewing starts at 10 a.m., and service at 11 a.m., at Legacy Funeral Home Witzleben Chapel, 1707 S Bragaw Street in Anchorage. Burial will follow at Fort Richardson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
Ralph was born on Sept. 8, 1951, in Trenton, N.J. He lived and graduated in Bensalem, Pa. He joined the Army after high school and was stationed at Ft. Rich. After active duty, he joined the Alaska Army National Guard and retired there after 30 years. He then worked DPW on JBER until he passed.
He is survived by his wife, Adrienne; and daughters, Renee and Veronica and husband Michael Sr. He has eight grandchildren: Devon, Dom, Alana, Dimitri, Aubree, Jasmine, Michael Jr. and Xavier. As well as three sisters, Carol, Barbara, and Maria; and three brothers, Gary, Richard and Ed, all of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his wife's family of Nome and Athabascan family of Copper Center.
He was a family man and loved his faith along with his country.
His wife shared, "My husband Ralph J. Carver Jr. has taught me about life. He enjoyed helping them from Copper Center to Anchorage. We enjoyed our lives of 46 years of marriage, and 48 years together. He was a fantastic man! And I loved him very much. He has two beautiful daughters Veronica Aisonna (Carver) Derr. Renee Igiettwena Carver, and eight great-grandchildren. Love always your wife, Adrienne Carver."
