On July 18, 2021, Suzanna "Suzy" Marie Perez went home to be with our Lord. Suzy was born on April 27, 1985, to her loving parents, Engelberto and Gina Perez, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Suzy was a charismatic child with a big heart and an even bigger smile. As she got older, she was full of joy and light, constantly wanting to help everyone around her but often not saving enough light for herself. To know Suzy was to love her and even through her ups and downs in life, she was always caring and kind.

If you were to ask Suzy about her greatest accomplishments, she would without a doubt say her children. Through them we will see her in their mannerisms, in their faces and within the beauty they bring into this world.

We will forever remember Suzy in her wholeness. We will laugh, we will cry and we will always remember her as we knew her best - a kind soul in a tough world. We can imagine Suzy finally at peace, and we take comfort in that.

Suzanna was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carmen Garner; and sister, Sophia Buehler. Survived by her children, Aidan and Mia; parents, Gilbert and Gina Perez; siblings, Carina, Tara, Gilbert and Venny; longtime partner, Erik Nunez; and son, Achilles; as well as countless friends and family members that loved her.

Please remember that we all stumble sometimes, every one of us, but a life is not to be judged by the final pages in its story. In lieu of flowers, we hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in her honor.

A service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Holy Family Cathedral, at 2 p.m., in Anchorage.
