David Henry

David Ewon Henry, 89 years old, was a lifelong Alaska resident. He went to be with the lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021. His loving wife Georgianna was by his side. Services will be on Friday, May 21, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Friends Church, 4607 East 6th Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska, with Burial Service at 4:45 p.m., at The Anchorage Memorial Cemetery, 535 East 9th Avenue.

David was born on May 2, 1932, to Helen and Hamen Henry of Galena, Alaska. With only an eighth grade education, David had an impeccable work ethic; he worked on the railroad, and then with Alaska Native Medical Center for over 44 years. David was a loving, kind, generous person. He enjoyed fiddle dances and traveling, and always took the time to visit with family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife, Georgianna Henry; sister, Virginia Johnston; sons, Norman Ewan, Aaron Henry and David Henry; daughter, Ursula Henry; grandsons, Daryll John, David Ewan, Noah Ewan and Danny-Joe Ewan; and granddaughters, Amy John, Kathryn Martin, Budzy John, Crystal Ewan, Sudaa' Ewan and Delilah Ewan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Hamen Henry; sister, Evelyn Cleaver; Harry Henry; and daughter, Cindy Henry.
