Jamie Sinclair

Dec 22, 1989 -

Apr 22, 2021

On April 22, 2021, Jamie Marie Sinclair, beloved youngest daughter of Jack Sinclair and Diana Thomas, passed away. She was much loved and her passing leaves a massive hole in the lives of her family and friends. Jamie brought light and love into any place she went and her generous, loving and gregarious nature was obvious at a very young age. She was always the first to reach out to classmates, co-workers and people in need.

Jamie was born in Seward, Alaska, and moved to the Sterling-Soldotna area shortly thereafter. She attended public school in the Soldotna area. Her love for team sports led to her playing girls and mixed youth hockey throughout her teen and pre-teen years. Starting as soon as she could kick a ball, she was also involved in soccer, playing competitively and was always exciting to watch as she played with every ounce of energy and skill she could muster. She enjoyed fishing on the Kenai River and in Cook Inlet, crafting for herself and for others, singing and animals.

Jamie attended college at University of Alaska Fairbanks, California State University at Los Angeles and University of Alaska Anchorage, from where she graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration in 2014. Her year at Cal State LA was some of her happiest memories, making new friends, experiencing new adventures and successfully completing an internship in business and fashion.

Jamie's relationship with her two older sisters, Danae and Heather, was exceptionally close and enduring. She was treasured by them both, and never missed an opportunity to make them laugh. She loved playing Guesstures, singing and performing, and simply spending time together.

One of the special joys that Jamie had was being an auntie to her four nieces, Kelsey, Jordan, Juniper and Zinnia, whom she absolutely adored. She also developed a long-standing devotion to her dear cousin, Naomi.

She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her loving and caring nature and her most generous soul. Jamie was known to give so much of herself to others who were in need, even if she had very little to give at times.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Jeanne Thomas; and her grandfather, W. Ray Sinclair II. She is survived by her mother, Diane Thomas; father, Jack Sinclair; sister and brother-in-law, Danae and Joshua Sands; sister and sister-in-law, Heather and Bethany Fernstrom; grandmother, Shirley Sinclair; and her four nieces. She also leaves behind five uncles, four aunts, four cousins and a long list of devoted friends.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She will be laid to rest at the Kasilof Spruce Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the LeeShore Center in Kenai, Alaska.
