Terry Degregorio

Nov 12, 1962 -

Apr 11, 2021

Terry Len Degregorio, 58, of Fairbanks, Alaska, passed away on April 11, 2021, after battling stage 4 liver cancer. Terry was born in Norfolk, Va., on Nov. 12, 1962, and has lived in Alaska, including Anchorage and Seward for 30 years settling in Fairbanks as an assistant store manager at Ester Gas. Terry was an adventurous spirit and a welcomed face in many communities across Alaska, His hobbies included: turning wrenches under a hood, watching football and stopping in at the favorite watering holes. Work hard, play hard was the motto, 80s music was the sound, love and acceptance for everyone was the vibe.

Terry was uplifting to everyone around him, and you would always walk away learning a thing or two and with a boost of confidence. He was a charitable man; anyone that knew him would describe times he gave the clothes off his back for a stranger. We all aspire to be thankful, exciting, robust, responsible and youthful just like Terry when we grow up. He will be greatly missed by all.

Terry is survived by his mother Lilly, Barringer of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Lelani Barringer-Francisco bottoms of Hawaii; girlfriend, Ellen Barger or Fairbanks; daughters, Tiffany Chuitt, Ashley Chuitt and Clarice Sheldon all of Anchorage; son, Conner Jacquay; daughter, Cassidy Jacquay; son, Caleb Brooks; and daughter, Cayleigh Brooks. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred S. Barringer Sr.; and brother, Fred M. Barringer Jr.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Anchorage on Monday, April 26, 2021, at 7 p.m., at the Kaloa Buildings.
